  • My name is Tato Caraveo. I' m a mural and studio artist mainly working in spray paint and acrylics. I'm a native to Phoenix; I hail from South Phoenix. I got my start in large scale murals on Roosevelt and 4th street in the early '90s and have continued to paint in the area ever since. I look forward to many more opportunities to add color to our city.

  • Solitude

“When solitude is comforting you’ve reached a point in life of peace within. The imagination is a natural tool in all of us. Stories stimulate the imagination to a point of driving creativity, where words become pictures we interpret into our own visions.“

    The oriole and the magnolia

“The symbolism of both subjects in this piece can’t be boxed in and kept for convenience. The orioles symbolize luck, confidence and hope, and the magnolias symbolize purity, nobility and endurance. These attributes can’t be obtained without struggle. They are qualities that can’t be purchased for one’s self. Only through hardships do we begin to acquire these qualities in life. “

    A far away gaze

“A distant gaze says more than we know about a person. Deep in thought, a daydream or a reflection of one’s self. Unless we ask a person what’s on their mind, we’ll never know who they truly are.“
