El Rey
This piece was created honoring the life of Mexican singer/ actor Vicente Fernandez (Chente) here in Calaca form singing his most popular song and my personal favorite El Rey.
Catrina
Catrina was inspired by the work of Mexican printmaker Jose Guadalupe Posada. His most popular illustration is La Catrina which I took from to create this version which is what I believe she looks like today.
The Time Traveler’s Suit
This is my attempt on illustrating a recurring dream I had as a kid/young adult, from fragmented memories a self portrait as a turtle shaped ship traveling from the depths of the sea through the infinite heavens seeking life, wisdom, and adventure.
Vela mela
This style of candle was designed and created to fill thin vertical spaces that otherwise would be left empty.
