I am from New York City and started spraying numbers on demolition derby cars at ten, then got an airbrush at 14, where I airbrushed motorcycles for the Hells Angels, and custom cars, and eventually painted sets for MTV music videos. I became a Union Scenic Artist and traveled around the world painting film sets. I moved to Arizona to take care of my mother, and with no film industry, began painting murals. I have painted murals for the US Air Force, NASCAR and Major League Baseball fields.

Orangutan Bro's

This mural is one of the walls in the area called, "The Ark". As a kid, I had an illustrated Bible, which was very clear on which animals boarded The Ark, and I remember asking my mother what kind of monkeys were saved by The Ark. She said they were not monkeys; they are 'orangutans', because they are smarter than monkeys.

I wanted to do something extremely close-up because it 's the best way to show off the unusual skin texture of the elephant.
